DESCRIPTION:March 8 – Brandon – Victoria Inn  9:00 am – 4:00 pm \n\n\n\nMSOs Randi Salamanowicz\, Delores Macksymchuk\, Shelley Jensen and Ann Ransom will provide step-by-step instructions on how to complete the General Operating Fund Budget with a focus on: \n\n\n\n\nExpenditure and Revenue\n\n\n\nTransfers and compliance with Regulation 49/97\n\n\n\nCalculation of tax levies (mill rates)\n\n\n\nUtility operating fund budget template\n\n\n\nDeficit approval and recovery process\n\n\n\n\nProcess to adopt and file the Financial Plan (May 15th submission deadline) \n\n\n\n\nCouncil review and approval\n\n\n\nPublic notice\n\n\n\nPublic hearing\n\n\n\n\nProcess to adopt and file the Property Tax By-law (June 15th submission deadline) \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe MSOs will remain in attendance in order to be available to meet with municipal administrators to provide guidance on 2024 General Operating Fund Budget as well as any other municipal administration inquiries. \n\n\n\nRepresentatives from auditing firms will be in attendance to provide information on what auditors require to complete your audit on schedule.
