The Manitoba Municipal Administrators Association (MMA) is pleased to announce that Duane Nicol, Chief Administrative Officer for the City of Selkirk, has been selected as the 2025 recipient of the Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Leadership in Municipal Administration.
Mr. Nicol was nominated by the Mayor and entire Council of the City of Selkirk in recognition of his outstanding leadership, innovation, and commitment to advancing excellence in municipal governance.
This year’s selection was especially challenging, with five exceptional nominees representing municipalities across Manitoba.
Each nominee demonstrated remarkable leadership and dedication to their communities, making the decision a difficult one.
The award celebrates administrators whose contributions exemplify integrity, professionalism, and service that strengthen local government and enhance community well-being.
