Lead Utility Operator

Job Type: Full-Time Permanent (40 hrs per week) with weekend standby

Salary: As per Collective Agreement between the RM of West St. Paul and IUOE Local 987

Reporting to the Public Works Manager, the Lead Utility Operator is responsible for performing and directing the duties related to the operation, monitoring, repair, and maintenance of all control systems and equipment in wastewater treatment plants, water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, standby (emergency) generators and stormwater conveyance systems to residential, commercial, and industrial consumers within the RM of West St. Paul.

This position falls within the Collective Bargaining Unit of Local 987 and is subject to all terms and conditions of the collective agreement or subsequent amending Agreements.

Preference will be given to individuals who have completed partial classes or education in wastewater treatment, wastewater collection, and water distribution.
