The Town of Niverville invites applications for the position of Director of Finance & Projects. This role works closely with the Chief Administrative Officer and the Manager of Finance on the long-term direction of the Town’s finances and oversees all projects and Town subsidiaries. This position is a full-time position, working 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday. This position may involve some evening and weekend hours.
The preferred candidate will have the following qualifications:
- University or Community College graduation in accounting or business
- A professional accounting designation is desirable, minimum 4th year CPA
- Completion of the Manitoba Municipal Administrators Association is an asset
- Five years experience in municipal financial management
- Practical knowledge and experience in computer systems for business applications
- A Valid Class 5 Manitoba driver’s license
- Critical thinking skills
- Complex problem solving skills
- Judgement and decision making skills
- Systems analysis
- Management of financial resources
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines
