Finance Clerk

The Rural Municipality of Grey invites written applications for a full-time Finance Clerk position.

The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of the Chief Administrative Officer and the Chief Financial Officer/Assistant Chief Administrative Officer and will be responsible for performing Accounts Payable and Payroll duties related to the operation of the municipality.

Qualifications:

Grade 12 diploma with post-secondary education in accounting (or equivalent work experience) required.
Computer experience in all Microsoft Office applications, email and internet.
Ability to work independently under minimal supervision and also in a team environment.
Attention to detail, ability to set priorities and a very strong work ethic are essential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (dealing with the public, elected officials and various other stakeholders in a professional manner)
Salary to commensurate with experience and qualifications and offers a full benefits package including pension and health & dental plans.    Position will be unionized.
